This workshop is designed for students interested in writing very short fiction and creative nonfiction, meaning under 1000 words. Each student may submit one piece per week (aim for at least three short pieces), one of which will be a revision of a previously submitted piece. Writers provide written feedback for their peers, and do some outside reading of flash fiction and creative nonfiction online and in print. It is not necessary to be interested in both fiction and creative nonfiction–the discussion of both forms and their differences will be helpful to writers whether they work in one or both forms.
