Set in London, 1879, the prestigious Explorers Club is in crisis: their acting president wants to admit a woman, and their bartender is terrible. True, this female candidate is brilliant, beautiful, and has discovered a legendary Lost City, but the decision to let in a woman could shake the very foundation of the British Empire, and how do you make such a decision without a decent drink? Grab your safety goggles for some very mad science involving deadly cobras, irate Irishmen, and the occasional airship.

Drawing on current research in artificial intelligence, robotics, and the possibility of “downloading” human consciousness as a means of extending the human lifespan, Uncanny Valley charts the relationship between Claire, a neuroscientist, and Julian, a nonbiological human. Uncanny Valley explores the painful divide between creator and creation, the inherent unpredictability of consciousness, and how we are redefining what it means to be human in the 21st century.

Plans are afoot to have Midtown Sacramento’s popular Pop-Up Dog Park “pop up” twice this summer. Portable, sustainable, fun, and friendly the Pop-Up Dog Park is coordinated, managed, and maintained by the Midtown Business Association. The mobile dog park is set-up using portable picket fencing and a double-gate system to ensure the dogs are secure inside the mobile structure. The Pop-Up Dog Park was created to increase canine-friendly communication and interaction and help to nurture a strong sense of community in the heart of Midtown.

The Pop-Up Dog Park will include a number of special activities such as promoting pet adoptions, microchip services, volunteers provided obedience training, and vendors. Originally created as a solution to a restrictive space requirement for off-leash dog parks, Midtown’s Pop-Up Dog Park has led to progress on the four-footed front.

Note: Due to the structural limits of the fencing, the Pop-Up Dog Park is designed for dogs 30 pounds or less.

From the award-winning playwright of Elephant’s Graveyard, George Brant, comes the story of an ace fighter pilot who’s career in the sky is ended early due to an unexpected pregnancy. Reassigned to operate military drones from a windowless trailer outside Las Vegas, she hunts terrorists by day and returns to her family each night. As the pressure to track a high-profile target mounts, the boundaries begin to blur between the desert in which she lives and the one she patrols half a world away.

John Mayall was born on the 29th of November 1933 and grew up in a village not too far from Manchester, England. It was here as a teenager that he first became attracted to the jazz and blues 78s in his father's record collection. Initially it was all about guitarists such as Eddie Lang, Lonnie Johnson, Brownie McGhee, Josh White, and Leadbelly.

However once he heard the sounds of boogie woogie giants Albert Ammons, Pete Johnson and Meade Lux Lewis, his desire to play was all he could think of. At the age of 14 when he went to Manchester's Junior School of Art, he had access to a piano for the first time and he began to learn the basics of this exciting music. He also found time to continue learning the guitar and a couple of years later, the harmonica, inspired by Sonny Terry, Sonny Boy Williamson, and Little Walter.
